Trade Stands
Our
Trade Stand Secretaries pride themselves on producing a wide variety of
traders and a strong diversity of product ranges. Furthermore we have a
Charity stall policy which is designed to stop our visitors being asked
for donations, tombola or similar at every turn as can be the case at
some other Shows. Please do support the Charities that are on the
Showground.
There
are two main Trade Stand areas. Firstly there is the long standing trade
stand area adjacent to the roundabout and bounded by the Domestic and
fur and feather marquees. The second area is found on the opposite side
of the main entrance road to the cattle show.
Many
trade stands have a traditional agricultural angle but there are many
others that seek to fulfil the living and social aspects of life
frequently including private schools, wine merchants, cooking ranges,
fruit and vegetables, clothing and plants to name but a few.
Trade Stand and Craft Stall competitions
Each year the Trade Stands and Craft Stalls are assessed by independent judges and a perpetual trophy is awarded to the winner of each section.
